The Kumasi Central Market is the largest urban open market in Ghana and animals used for medicinal purposes are among items that typically displayed sale. However, no study has been undertaken on animal species sold traditional medicine purposes. This took inventory of traded examined their conservation implications. recorded to be comprised 5 taxonomic classes, belonging 20 families. Chameleons were found most species.
